Last year Eloise would only look at santa from a distance. This year after watching her cousins go through the line and get a treat, she was willing to give Santa a try. She didn't figure out the Santa-present connection until after Christmas.

It's a cold windy winter night and we are out the door to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Mommy says it's too cold for a twirl dress and gives you pants and a sweater. Eloise says I can have it all. And my pack-pack too.
We went one rainy California winter day to visit the ducks. They were very glad to see Eloise and her bread. Eloise alternated between trying to pet the ducks and running from them. I have also discovered that while Eloise may turn down fresh bread at home, she will happily eat stale bread in the park.
Eloise got a demonstation in static electricity from her 7-year-old cousin. She loved the ballons, and laughed at her cousin, but she got tired of the hair sticking to her face
Eloise's Utah cousins are used to snow and cold, and are happt to play in Grandma's warm spa. Eloise was not impressed with the swimming, and prefered the snow.

One of Eloise's favorite outdoor activities is drawing with sidewalk chalk. Eloise asked for an ocean with an arch, a starfish, an octupus, a shark, coral (she as an ocean puzzle with fish and coral). Can you find all those things in our picture? There is also a whale, but it is behind Eloise
Eloise and her cousins had a good time playing with the packing paper from a recent package. Watching them play, I was charmed by the abstract forms of paper hanging in the air. I was also happy they were so fully occupied.

Have we mentioned that Eloise really, really likes the teacups at Disneyland. Ask her about it.
