The butterflies
We enjoyed a visit to the spring butterfly exhibit at the San Diego Safari Park (formerly Wild Animal Park, we call it all "the zoo"). |

Hello butterfly
Abby was funny with the butterflies. She was fascinated by them and watched them carefully, but she was wary when the landed near her. She would shoo them... "go away butterfly, shoo.. SHOO!" |

Butterfly magnet
We did 2 trips through the butterfly house, once in the early afternoon, and once in the evening. The second time through we saw a lot more butterfly action. Is it the smaller crowds and more daring butterflies? Or do butterflies prefer sweaty kids? |

Hair decorations.
We spent a while hanging out watching butterflies go by while the girls danced. I was amazed at how often the butterflies would land on top of my wiggly girls. |

The shaking bridge
Outside of the swing, Abby's next great attraction at the park was the shaking bridge. After several crossings with help, she was ready to try it on her own. |

Petal party
One of Eloise's favorite things about spring is that Mom starts to prune the roses. Eloise and Abby enjoy having a party with all rosy bounty. |

Project sod removal
Eloise helped me get a new planting bed prepared in our front yard. After we finished getting all the grass up (over several weeks time) she raked everything smooth so it would look beautiful. Then she zealously gaurded her patch of dirt so no one would get footprints in it. |
